Matt Gokey

Matt Gokey

Matt has lived in Lancaster since 1992, when his family moved here while he was in high school. He graduated from Manheim Central High School in 1993, and attended Millersville University before he found his passion of auctioneering. Matt attended Worldwide College of Auctioneering in Mason City, Iowa, and obtained his PA auctioneering license in 1996. Since then, he has worked as a car auctioneer, traveling to various sales on the east coast weekly.

Matt lives with his wife, Anne, and two children, Sam and Madeleine, in Landisville. In his free time, you can find Matt acting as his family and neighbors' chef, as he enjoys cooking, particularly grilling and smoking on his Traeger. The Gokey's have been members of St. Peter's Lutheran Church since 2014. Matt also enjoys cheering on, and coaching his son's baseball teams. Matt is a member of the Pennsylvania Auctioneers Association, and has served as secretary/treasurer, vice president, and president of the Southeast Chapter.

Having lived in Mt. Gretna, Manheim, Lancaster, Lititz, and currently Landisville, Matt is familiar with many different Lancaster County landscapes and can help you find the perfect home. Matt has known the Bering family professionally for over 20 years, the friendship and family atmosphere they extend to their clients is what attracted him to Bering Real Estate Co. With their help, Matt looks forward to growing the Bering Real Estate footprint into Lancaster County.

What Our Clients Say

The Bering’s are truly amazing realtors- They are in the loop for all of the best properties in the area, can work within your price range, and provided very personal service. We are extremely pleased with the purchase of our house. They also helped in every way possible when you are getting settled. They went beyond expectations to make sure we were happy.  Even a year later, we still feel like we can turn to them for questions about anything, recommendations for restaurants, handyman, anything that comes up.
